Midtown District Plan

Midtown District Plan

Public Kick Off Meeting

May 14, 2024

5:00-7:00 p.m.

Please join the Midtown, North Star, and Spenard communities as we plan a bright and successful future for the core commercial and residential district of Anchorage.

District plans typically outline the vision, goals, and strategies for the development and management of a specific area. These adopted plans often address various aspects, including land use, transportation, infrastructure, economic development, housing, public spaces, quality of life, and environmental considerations.

The Midtown District Plan is funded by ARPA funding awarded by the Anchorage Assembly. Anchorage Community Development Authority has taken the lead on this planning process in partnership with the Municipality of Anchorage Planning Department. Boazu-AK, Huddle, AK, and Agnew::Beck are the consultants providing research, data, planning, and project management for the planning process.

The planning process will kick off in May 2024 continuing to May 2025 with an adopted district plan. Your input is encouraged throughout the process. ZOOM recordings of all public meetings will be posted on the project webpage. The project webpage is found here: https://www.acda.net/acda-midtown-district-plan
